The Churubusco Youth League would like to share some information regarding the upcoming 2007 season.

1.   Registration Dates: February 22nd and 23rd: 500-800 pm; February 24th: 800am-noon; February 25th: noon - 300 pm Registration Location: Churubusco Community Park Scout Building

2.   Registration Information:

  1. Registration Rates will remain unchanged from the 2006 season. Families with more than one child participating will receive a $5 discount for each additional child registered.
  2. Registration FEES are DUE AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION with cash or personal check being accepted.
  3. Fees will be as follows: tee($30), soccer($35), Minor boys/girls($45), Major boys/girls($55), JR/SR boys/girls($80)
  4. Parents having more than (2) children participating will ONLY be required to do (2) fundraising activities.
  5. Fundraiser activities this season will consist of a choice of selling candy, selling candles, or doing a buyout.
  6. Families choosing not to sell candles or candy will be required to do a $25 buy-out per child, Max (2)
  7. Registration forms, medical release information, a copy of a certified county birth certificate, and registration fees MUST be received prior to any participant beginning practice or game activities.
  8. For registration day, please bring your child's birth certificate, immunization information, and a form of payment for fees
  9. Parents will be asked to work (2) evenings in the concession stands. Signups will take place at picture day.
  10. Soccer will be for ages 5 thru 12. Soccer questions should be directed to Kevin Martz, soccer Director, at 693-7972, or email at kmmartz@hotmail.com.
  11. Forms for registration can be located, preprinted, and completed by going to our website at info@buscoball.com
3.   2007 Season plans:
  1. 10 March 2007: player draft for leagues applicable
  2. 24 March 2007: coaches meeting for all league coaches
  3. 25 March 2007: practice(s) may begin …
  4. 21 April 2007: Team Picture Day (Pictures only at designated time, there will be no team play on this day)
  5. 30 April 2007: Season begins and will run through end of June, with one week off during turtle days
  6. There will be NO Memorial Day tournament within the Youth League this season
4.   Miscellaneous:
  1. Umpires: people interested in umpiring this season - please contact Jeff Walker, 693-1353. Umpires must be at least (14) years of age, will go through a pre-season umpiring clinic, and will be paid $14-$20 per game depending upon the league officiating.
  2. Sponsor(s): Community members or businesses interested in sponsoring a team this year please contact Jeff Walker, 693-1353 or Todd Ramsey, 693-2475.
  3. Coaches: anyone interested in coaching this season should bring a driver's license and (3) personal references to registration to complete a Volunteer Application.
  4. Board Members: The Churubusco Youth League is still looking for new members for the board. Any interested parties can contact Jeff Walker, league President, 693-1353.

The Churubusco Youth League is a non-profit organization existing for the sole purpose of benefiting the members of our community. Our primary objective(s) include involving our youth where they learn fundamentals of the game, sportsmanship, and principles of teamwork. As always, we appreciate and ask for the support of the community and the many volunteers who make our program a success.
